Summer Swim Memberships - Membership Fee - $500.00
Membership - Membership is for the member, spouse and children
under the age of 21.
Guest fees will be charged for non member guest.
Registration - Member must fill out Swim Membership form.
Payment must be in the form of a cash, charge card or checks
payable to Southern Oaks Athletic Club. Mail or drop Membership
form and payment to: 15253 Shenandoah Ave, Baton Rouge, LA
70817.

Modified pool hours after August 11th.
Privileges - Use of the Southern Oaks Pool and related pool

Children are eligible for participation on Southern Oaks Swim Team

Pool Rules
Pool Entrance
All Members and their guest must sign in upon entering the pool
Individual guest are limited to 5 times per month
Guest fee is $5 per person
Children under the age of 8 are not allowed at the pool without an adult
Children 8-13 are not allowed at the pool without an adult, until they have passed club required test. ID pin must be worn to be admitted
without an adult
Conduct at the pool must provide the greatest safety for all members and their guest
State Regulation requires that a shower must be taken prior to entering the pool
No cut-offs or shorts allowed in pool
Pool Decking
No outside food or beverages
No running or scuffling
No foul language
No glassware in pool area
Radios may only be used with earphones
Pool
Children under the age of 6 must stay in shallow end unless accompanied by an adult
No flips or back dives from side of pool
No standing or diving from starting blocks, except during swim team function
Games
No slam dunking of basketball
No hanging, standing or jumping from lane ropes, volleyball net, or basketball goal
Playing of games (tag, baseball) will be restricted at peek hours or when it interferes with other guest
Restrooms
No food allowed in the restrooms
Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult in restrooms
Baby Pool
No diapers allowed in pool - Swim diapers only
No children over age 8 allowed in baby pool
Other
In case of emergency, the pool must be cleared immediately
Do not talk to Lifeguards while on the stand
Pool will be closed for home Swim Meets
Lifeguards are to reprimand all members and guests that do not follow the rules stated by the club. Children who are not accompanied by an
adult and misbehave will be handled in the following manner:
1st offense -Warning
2nd offense -Time out
3rd offense -Will have to leave the pool for the rest of the day and parents notified
4th offense -Will not be permitted back to the pool without a parent
Reminder: Lifeguards are at the pool in case there is an accident,
not to prevent accidents.
Parents should keep an eye on their children's safety

9 AM – 10 AM for ages 10 and under
